We serve a diverse community, playing a crucial role in strengthening cultural and social bonds while supporting business, tourism and leisure travel.

We are seeking an experienced Security and Emergency Operations Manager to lead our security and emergency operations.

About the role:

  • Lead a team of specialists to ensure day-to-day security and emergency operations are safe, efficient and compliant.
  • Develop, implement and monitor our security and emergency response arrangements.
  • Manage the Aerodrome Emergency Plan and ensure associated documentation and procedures are current and effective.
  • Oversee and manage contracted security services to ensure KPIs and compliance obligations are met.
  • Investigate security and emergency incidents, identify root causes and implement corrective action plans.
  • Coordinate emergency training programs, exercises and debriefs to maintain readiness and continuous improvement.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with internal stakeholders, regulators and external emergency response agencies.
  • Provide technical advice and leadership during airport emergencies and escalated incidents.

About you:

  • Extensive knowledge and experience in security and emergency operations within an airport environment.
  • Strong understanding of aviation security and emergency legislation, ensuring compliance in a regulated environment.
  • Experience managing large contracted workforces and a wide range of stakeholders, including emergency response agencies.
  • Proven ability to write, review and implement procedures, plans and frameworks relevant to security and emergency management.
  • Demonstrated experience in developing and managing major field and desktop emergency exercises.
  • Accountability for delivering outcomes, with strong decision-making skills and a focus on continuous improvement.
  • A collaborative and customer-focused approach, with the ability to build strong relationships across diverse stakeholders.
  • Resourcefulness and adaptability, with a commitment to learning and improving in a fast-paced environment.
