About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and customer-focused Sales Assistant to join our team at Petbarn Mittagong store on a casual basis.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide exceptional customer service, ensuring a positive experience for our customers.
  • Work collaboratively with the team to achieve sales targets and drive business results.
  • Maintain a high level of product knowledge and provide expert advice to customers.
  • Contribute to the visual merchandising and presentation of products in-store.
  • Process transactions accurately and efficiently, handling cash, credit card sales, and returns.
  • Participate in stock replenishment, receiving, and rotation, ensuring a well-stocked and organized store environment.
  • Assist with store opening and closing procedures, including cleaning and maintaining the store.
Requirements
  • 2+ years of experience in a retail or sales environment, preferably in a pet-related industry.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with customers and colleagues.
  • High level of integrity, with a strong work ethic and commitment to delivering exceptional results.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, with a high level of energy and enthusiasm.
  • Physical ability to lift heavy items, such as bags of dog food, and stand for long periods.
