Position Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Vehicle Cleaning Specialist to become a vital part of our operations at Arnold Clark.

Working Hours

Monday - Thursday 8am - 5.30pm and Friday 8am - 5pm.

Role Responsibilities

As a member of our team, you will be tasked with ensuring that all vehicles are maintained in pristine condition. This role is ideal for individuals who thrive in a dynamic, hands-on environment, possess a keen eye for detail, and excel in collaborative settings.

Key Duties Include:

  1. Thoroughly cleaning both sold and stock vehicles to meet high standards.
  2. Capturing high-quality images of vehicles for online listings.
  3. Utilizing a high-powered pressure washer for exterior cleaning.
  4. Employing a vacuum and shampooing equipment for interior cleaning.
  5. Operating polishing and buffing machines to enhance vehicle exteriors.
  6. Adhering to health and safety protocols while handling cleaning agents.
  7. Ensuring all tools and machinery are well-maintained and secure, reporting any issues promptly.
  8. Meeting established timeframes and performance targets.
  9. Managing vehicle schedules through an online diary system.
  10. Documenting daily tasks and completed work.
  11. Assisting with additional branch responsibilities as needed.

Essential Qualifications

  1. Possession of a full UK driving licence.
  2. Exceptional attention to detail.
  3. Basic proficiency in computer usage.
  4. Self-driven with the ability to work effectively in a team.
  5. Capability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
  6. Openness to participate in training initiatives.

While prior valeting experience is advantageous, it is not mandatory; we provide training for candidates who demonstrate enthusiasm and meet the necessary criteria. Our Valet Academy offers comprehensive training for all new staff members.
