Soft Matter Scientist Industrial Placement

We are seeking a highly motivated and enthusiastic individual to join our team as a Research Scientist Placement in Soft Matter. This is an exciting opportunity to work alongside our experienced scientists and engineers in a dynamic and collaborative environment.
Key Responsibilities- Conduct research in soft matter using advanced instruments and techniques
- Develop and implement new experimental methods and protocols
- Collaborate with colleagues to design and execute research projects
- Present research findings through oral and written reports
- Currently enrolled on an undergraduate degree course and returning to university/studies to complete your undergraduate degree following the placement
- Required or have requested to take an industrial placement year
- Have the right to live and work in the UK for the duration of the placement
- Able to commence employment in summer 2025
- Good verbal and written communication skills
- Able to work both independently and within a team environment
- Enthusiasm for learning new scientific principles and new experimental techniques
- Effective problem-solving skills
- Willingness to perform or learn how to perform practical experiments
