Job Description

The Women's Health and Child Development Coordinator will work as part of our Health Services team, supporting a multidisciplinary and integrated community-based approach to women's and children's health.

You will be responsible for the day-to-day operations, providing leadership and support for this team to continue clinical women's and child advocacy, counselling support, advice, and promote female and child-related health issues.

The role involves maintaining confidentiality and working as a member of a high-performing multi-disciplinary team. You will ensure appropriate rostering of staff and client workflow management.

Acknowledge and respect Aboriginal values, beliefs, customs, language, and traditional practices. Ensure data, reporting, and compliance obligations for services are met.

Implement relevant policies and procedures to ensure clinical and legal compliance. Effectively manage complaints from a range of stakeholders (clients, staff, and service providers).

Assist GPs and other clinical staff as required, including visiting health professionals and specialists. Work in accordance with Anyinginyi Health's WHS policy, the WHS Act, Regulations, and Code of Practices.

Salary: Estimated annual salary: $112,853 - $125,311

This position offers a competitive salary package, including generous salary packaging and professional development incentives.

About the Role

About You

  • To be considered for this position, you must be a qualified AHP or RN with current AHPRA Registration.
  • Possess clinical skills and experience needed to work competently in Women's and Children's Health.
  • Experience working with an Aboriginal organisation or communities will be highly regarded but is not essential.
  • Demonstrate a clear understanding of the issues pertaining to Aboriginal Primary Health Care and the social determinants of health in our surrounding communities.
  • An exceptional communicator with outstanding interpersonal skills needed to tailor your approach to the needs of each family.
