About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Network Chapter Lead to join our team at ING Bank (Australia) Limited. As a key member of our Private Cloud - Infrastructure Tribe, you will be responsible for leading the development and implementation of our network services and security strategies.

Key Responsibilities
  • Technical Leadership
    • Design and deliver next-generation network technologies to support our services to customers, including global ING and cloud technologies.
    • Manage end-to-end network solutions from ING, from wireless to express routes.
  • People Management
    • Lead a team of engineers to deliver projects and initiatives.
  • Service Delivery
    • Responsible for network IT health and BAU processes, including vendors support, system maintenance, incident and problem management, risk, security, and lifecycle management of technology assets.
    • Be responsible for knowledge transfer and documentation across all technologies under your domain, ensuring knowledge is shared.
  • Stakeholder Engagement
    • Represent the team and the tribe in engaging with other technology and business stakeholders to define and deliver critical projects.
  • Project Management
    • Track and prioritize BAU workloads and projects to ensure delivery on time and within quality.
Requirements
  • Technical Expertise
    • Deep knowledge and understanding of network technology, including firewalls, PaloAlto, advanced routing (BGP, OSPF), F5 load balancers, and WAF, Cisco routing, switching, and wireless.
  • Leadership Experience
    • Experience leading a team of engineers.
  • Business Acumen
    • Familiarity with mission-critical environments and high-performance networks.
    • Exceptional stakeholder management skills, as well as excellent written and verbal communication skills.
    • Exceptional influencing and negotiation skills.
  • Personal Qualities
    • A self-motivated individual with the ability to prioritize to achieve exceptional outcomes while working with moving targets and be proficient in scheduling releases based on urgency/priority.
