We are currently seeking an Apprentice Electrical Fitter, Lineworker or Cable Jointer to join our team. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to work in a variety of roles within our organization, including building, maintaining and servicing the ACT's electricity network.

The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication skills, be able to work effectively in a team environment and have a strong passion for learning and development. They will also be physically fit and able to perform tasks that require manual labor.

Job Description:

As an apprentice, you will have a hands-on role in building, maintaining and servicing the ACT's electricity network. You will work closely with experienced tradespeople who will provide guidance and support throughout your apprenticeship.

  • Perform a variety of tasks associated with electrical fitters, lineworkers and cable jointers, including constructing, maintaining and servicing overhead power systems.
  • Work at heights, in confined spaces and outdoors, in all types of weather conditions.
  • Operate heavy machinery, including non-destructive digging equipment and elevated work platforms.
Requirements:
  • Able to obtain a Certificate III in Electrotechnology, ESI Distribution Overhead or ESI Distribution Underground.
  • Have experience working in a team environment and be able to communicate effectively with colleagues and supervisors.
  • Be physically fit and able to perform manual labor tasks.
  • Have a strong passion for learning and development.
