Senior Electrical Instrumentation Specialist

Job Opportunity:
We are seeking an experienced Electrical and Instrumentation Specialist to join our dynamic team in Queensland. As an Electrical and Instrumentation Specialist, you will be responsible for designing and specifying instruments for pressure, flow, level, and temperature measurement, including datasheets and loop diagrams.
Key Responsibilities include:
- Designing and specifying control valves, including valve sizing and actuator selection
- Selecting control system hardware, designing system architecture, and developing functional specifications
- Designing fire and gas detection systems and contributing to risk assessments
- Performing hazardous area classification and relevant calculations
- Participating in commissioning activities
Requirements:
- Tertiary qualification in Electrical Engineering (recognised by Engineers Australia)
- Chartered Professional Engineer (CPEng) status or substantial progress towards obtaining it
- Strong technical expertise in Instrument & Control Engineering principles and practices
- Proficiency in industry-standard software for detailed design tasks
- Solid knowledge of Australian Standards, codes, and regulatory requirements relevant to Instrument & Control Engineering
