Diabetes Nurse Educator

Are you a dedicated healthcare professional passionate about empowering individuals with diabetes to self-manage their condition? We are seeking an experienced Diabetes Nurse Educator to join our Education Services team, delivering education in clinics, group programs, health professional training, consultancy, project management, health promotion and research.

\

The successful candidate will conduct individual and group clinical sessions, develop effective communication skills with clients, provide client-centred education, ensure own knowledge and skills in diabetes education are of a high standard, and participate in quality activities.

\Requirements:\
  • \
  • Accreditation as a Credentialled Diabetes Nurse Educator with experience providing clinical support and education for people with type 1 diabetes, type 2 diabetes and gestational diabetes.\
  • Experience delivering group education programs or health professional training face-to-face or online technology.\
  • Excellent planning and organisational skills, managing tasks with conflicting priorities without compromising attention to detail and accuracy.\
  • A high level of interpersonal skills, liaising effectively with people at various levels internal and external to the Institute.\
  • Ability to be a proactive team member and contribute to team development and work effectively in an interdisciplinary team.\
  • Willingness to take initiative and improve existing systems and procedures.\
