Job Title: Cath Lab Nurse

Your role at our hospital involves working as a Cath Lab Nurse in our Angiography team.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct nursing practice in accordance with Australian College of Operating Room Nurses Standards and Competencies.
  • Takes a clinical workload as appropriate in accordance with the rosters and allocations.
  • Acts as the team leader as necessary.
  • Promotes and assists development of colleagues' standards of nursing practice.
  • Works professionally within all Legislative and Government requirements.
  • Assists with submissions for changes to clinical practice and purchase of new equipment.
  • Assists the Clinical Nurse Manager and Area Manager in the formulation and revision of Clinical Practice Policies, Procedures and Guidelines.
  • Liaises with the Clinical Nurse Manager and Area Manager regarding ongoing education of all Staff within the Operating Suite.
Requirements:
  • Hold current registration with Nursing & Midwifery Board of Australia (AHPRA) as a Registered Nurse with a minimum of 2 years' clinical experience.
  • Demonstrated commitment to quality patient care and satisfaction, along with well-developed interpersonal and relationship building skills.
  • Ability to uphold the Australian College of Operating Room Nurses (ACORN) and Australian Nursing Council Incorporated (ANCI) Standards and Competencies.
  • Change management and clinical problem-solving skills, with demonstrated clinical experience in nursing, conflict resolution and well-developed verbal and written communication skills.
