Job Opportunity: Oncology Nurse

We are seeking an experienced oncology nurse to join our team at the Epworth Geelong hospital. As a registered nurse with a passion for patient care, you will be responsible for providing evidence-based care to oncology and haematology patients in our day unit.

  • Responsibilities:

  • Delivering high-quality, compassionate care to ensure an exceptional patient experience

  • Managing patient flow while upholding professional nursing standards

  • Providing emotional support and education to patients and their families throughout the treatment process

Requirements:

To be successful in this role, you must have:

  • Current nursing registration with AHPRA

  • Previous oncology/haematology nursing experience in a day unit

  • Current expertise in administering chemotherapy medications, immunotherapy, and managing associated side effects with appropriate qualification/certificate

  • Contemporary knowledge of best practice in cancer nursing care

  • Ability to work autonomously as well as part of a small team

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively liaise with patients, families, and the healthcare team

  • Excellent critical thinking and problem-solving abilities to respond to rapidly changing patient conditions

The annual salary for a full-time registered nurse ranges from AUD $71,622 to $100,564 + super + entitlements, depending on registration type, year level, and position (prorated for part-time).
