Senior SMSF Accountant

Job Description:

As a Senior SMSF Accountant, you will take ownership of a quality portfolio of Self-Managed Super Funds. Your primary responsibility will be to handle end-to-end compliance, liaise directly with clients and auditors, and provide expert financial advice.

Key responsibilities include preparation of financial statements, tax returns, and compliance documentation for SMSF clients. You will also manage SMSF accounting and compliance matters from start to finish, ensuring all necessary documents are prepared and filed in a timely manner.

In this role, you will have the opportunity to work closely with external auditors and act as the primary point of contact for SMSF clients. Your expertise will be invaluable in staying up to date with superannuation legislation and compliance changes, ensuring our clients receive the highest level of service.

Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • Minimum 3 years' experience working with SMSFs in a public practice firm
  • Strong knowledge of SMSF compliance
  • Experience with Class, BGL360, or similar software
  • Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving abilities
  • Confident communicator with a client-first approach
  • CA/CPA qualified or working towards
