The Senior Product Designer will be responsible for user experience across our native apps.

About the Role:

  • Owning the end-to-end product design lifecycle from research and ideation to high-fidelity UI design.
  • Conducting user research in a structured way, using empathy to understand user needs and uncover untapped opportunities.
  • Leading co-design workshops, applying Design Thinking methodology to gain alignment around design problems and opportunities.
  • Designing intuitive and visually appealing high fidelity user interfaces for native mobile and web applications.
  • Championing accessibility, consistency, and design excellence across all platforms.
  • Advocating for user needs while aligning with business goals and journalistic values.

Requirements:

  • 5+ years of demonstrated experience shipping products including developing Design Systems.
  • A bachelor's or master's degree in a relevant field such as User Interface Design, User Experience (UX) Design, Product (UX/UI) Design, Industrial Design or a related discipline.
  • Proficiency in design tools Figma, JIRA, Confluence and other relevant software.
  • Experience in design thinking methodologies, human-centered design, or other relevant design frameworks.
