Job Opportunity: Experienced Electricians Sought for Utility-Scale Battery Storage Site Maintenance

This role involves working on-site at utility-scale battery storage sites, primarily the Tesla Megapack, across the Chinchilla/Western Downs region. The position requires a strong presence in Chinchilla and surrounding areas, with occasional travel to support other regional sites as needed.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Troubleshoot and repair equipment as defined by the service engineering team
  • Perform complex electro-mechanical debugging, rework, and repairs requiring a high level of skill
  • Work across Powerpack and Megapack Utility sites to ensure operations and maintenance requirements are met and that the fleet performs optimally
  • Operate a variety of hand tools, power tools, and LV/MV/HV testing equipment for diagnosis and troubleshooting
  • Develop and follow best practices and procedures for maintenance activities related to Tesla Energy equipment
  • Communicate daily updates on work completed, problems identified, and timelines

Requirements:

  • Certified Electrician (Cert III or higher) in Electrical/Electro Technology
  • Minimum 5 years' experience, with at least 3 years' electrical maintenance experience, ideally within the Utility sector
  • Up-to-date Electrical Registration/License
  • HV switching experience
  • SCADA operating experience is a plus
