About the Role

We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Occupational Therapist to join our team in Toowoomba, Queensland. As a Child Development Specialist, you will have the opportunity to work with children and families in a collaborative and supportive environment.

Job Description

As a Child Development Specialist, your key responsibilities will include:

  • Purposeful Assessments: Conduct thorough assessments to reveal each child's potential and identify areas for development.
  • Tailored Therapy Plans: Create customized therapy plans that match each child's unique goals and needs.
  • Evidence-Based Interventions: Deliver proven methods that drive progress and promote healthy development.
  • Collaborative Approach: Work closely with families and caregivers to ensure a holistic approach to each child's development.
  • Progress Monitoring: Track progress and fine-tune therapy plans as needed to ensure the best possible outcomes.
  • Families Empowered: Guide families to be active participants in their child's development and provide them with the support and resources they need.

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A relevant tertiary degree or higher qualification in Occupational Therapy.
  • AHPRA registration and eligibility to practice in Australia.
  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to connect with children, families, and colleagues.
  • Flexibility and mobility, with the ability to travel within a 50km radius and use your own car (with reimbursement provided).
