
Australian Payroll Expert

A Payroll Consultant plays a pivotal role in ensuring accurate and timely payroll processing for employees. This expert position requires a deep understanding of Australian payroll legislation, including the Fair Work Act, modern awards, taxation, and superannuation.
The ideal candidate will have demonstrated experience in Australian payroll processing and administration, preferably within a medium-to-large organisation. They will be responsible for delivering the fortnightly end-to-end payroll cycle, managing adjustments, periodic reconciliations and lodgements for payroll tax and superannuation.
Key responsibilities include:
- Ensuring compliance with relevant laws and company policies
- Providing insights to support strategic decision-making
- Building strong internal partnerships and fostering continuous learning within the payroll team
- Leading process-improvement initiatives
The successful candidate will possess exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to explain complex payroll concepts in plain language. They will also have intermediate to advanced excel skills and a high level of accuracy and attention to detail in all aspects of payroll processing and reporting.
