About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Investment Analyst to join our team at Hostplus. As an Investment Analyst, you will play a crucial role in supporting our investment decisions by providing improved risk and performance analytics, and cashflow and liquidity analysis.

The ideal candidate will be numerically literate, a self-starter, and a problem solver with a strong analytical mind. You will have a Bachelor's degree in a numerate and analytical discipline, such as Mathematics, Statistics, Finance, or Economics.

Key responsibilities will include:

  • Employing mathematical models, statistical tools, and visualization techniques to identify trends and detect outliers.
  • Developing risk analytics and performance dashboards, including using Aladdin software.
  • Developing, maintaining, and analysing liquidity and cashflow forecasts and their impact on financial performance.
  • Developing and monitoring sensitivity, stress testing, and variance analysis models to increase the accuracy of cashflow forecasts and to optimise liquidity and capital deployment.
  • Assisting with developing and maintaining databases, and data collection systems to feed analysis as appropriate.
  • Reporting and presenting results to key stakeholders.
