We are in search of a dedicated Health and Safety Executive responsible for overseeing operational health and safety initiatives. This role will involve extensive travel to support various regional and metropolitan workplaces.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintain and utilize the Safety Management System consistently.
  • Manage all workers' compensation and rehabilitation issues efficiently and in compliance with relevant legislation.
  • Ensure thorough reporting, recording, and investigation of all accidents, incidents, near misses, and occupational diseases.
  • Engage with state regulators and support RDO branches.
  • Provide health and safety guidance and support to all employees.
  • Facilitate the company Health and Safety committee and mentor Health and Safety Representatives in each location.
  • Contribute to the development of strategic initiatives, monthly campaigns, and operational requirements.

Required Skills and Experience:

  • Eligibility to work in Australia.
  • Willingness to travel domestically as required (approximately 25% of the time).
  • Relevant WHS qualifications and a minimum of 5 years' experience in a similar management position.
  • In-depth knowledge of contemporary safety issues, best practices, and the legal framework governing workplace safety.
  • Exceptional interpersonal and verbal communication skills, with proven abilities in consultation, facilitation, negotiation, and influence, particularly at senior management levels.
  • A consultative and collaborative approach, acting as a trusted advisor.
