Automotive Technician Job Description

We are seeking a skilled automotive technician to fill this role at our service centre.

  • Main Responsibilities:
  • Perform scheduled servicing and general maintenance of vehicles
  • Conduct diagnostic and fault-finding work to identify issues with vehicles
  • Carry out warranty and recall repairs in line with manufacturer standards
  • Complete repairs and recommendations in accordance with dealership standards
  • Provide high-quality customer service and maintain a professional presentation

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • A current Motor Vehicle Tradesperson Certificate (Light Vehicle Mechanical Technology or equivalent)
  • At least 2 years' post-trade experience, preferably in a dealership environment
  • A manufacturer-trained background is highly regarded, particularly in Toyota, Hyundai, Kia, or similar brands
  • Strong technical aptitude, attention to detail, and excellent diagnostic skills
  • Clear written and verbal communication skills
  • A current NSW driver's licence
  • Ability to work efficiently both independently and as part of a team
