Underwriting Assistant Job Description

This is an entry-level role in the Transaction Liability Team, offering a valuable opportunity to gain exposure to complex M&A transactions.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Assist underwriters in managing transaction liability risks from end-to-end.
  • Prepare and issue policy documents, endorsements, and other documentation.
  • Manage underwriting files and data entry in internal systems.
  • Coordinate with brokers, legal counsel, and stakeholders for timely responses.
  • Support the team with reporting, compliance, and operational tasks.
  • Conduct internal research and contribute to presentations and team projects.
  • Provide global support across multiple regions, ensuring consistent service delivery.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • 1+ years of experience in an administrative, support, or coordination role, preferably in insurance, professional services, or financial services.
  • Highly organized with strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple deadlines.
  • Clear and professional communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Confident using Microsoft Office and comfortable working with internal systems and databases.
  • Proactive team player eager to learn, support others, and grow within a high-performing team.
  • Interest in building a career in insurance and passion for the world of M&A.
