Finance Manager Role

The South Australian Cricket Association seeks an experienced Finance Manager to join their team. As a key member, you will play a pivotal role in building and maintaining a high-performing finance team aligned with the overall business strategy.

This role involves significant responsibilities in managing financial planning and budgeting processes, ensuring statutory compliance, overseeing risk management, and handling cash flow and investments. The Finance Manager will also be responsible for collaborating with internal stakeholders to improve financial outcomes and align with the SACA's strategic goals.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Leading and developing a high-performing finance team delivering strategic business advisory and financial support.
  • Overseeing financial planning, budgeting, forecasting, and reporting, ensuring timely insights and Board-ready outputs.
  • Managing the outsourced payroll function and maintaining strong relationships with key partners.
  • Driving continuous improvement in financial systems, reporting tools, and internal controls.
  • Leading risk management processes, including insurance, compliance, and financial governance frameworks.
  • Overseeing cash flow, investments, and funding arrangements, ensuring alignment with policy and performance benchmarks.

Minimum requirements include:

  • At least five years' experience in managing a finance team and function.
  • Ability to multi-task, prioritize, and meet tight deadlines in high-pressure situations.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Experience in risk management.
  • Demonstrated verbal communication skills, strong interpersonal skills, and the ability to liaise and negotiate with senior management and stakeholders.
