Westpac Institutional Banking is seeking a highly skilled Senior Business Analyst to join our team. As a key member of our Global Transaction Services (GTS) business line, you will play a critical role in delivering a digital banking platform for the future.

About the Role

This is a unique opportunity to design cloud-native digital financial services at a heritage bank without the constraints of previous systems. You will work closely with internal and external stakeholders, including Product, Technology, Legal, Risk, and Compliance, as well as clients and world-leading technology vendors.

Key Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders to understand and prioritise business requirements.
  • Facilitate workshops to elicit and document user stories, acceptance criteria, and project scope using Agile principles.
  • Own the elaboration of user stories and design and delivery tasks; work with key stakeholders to execute the backlog.
  • Utilise Jira as a tool to manage projects and workflows efficiently.
  • Employ Agile practices to break down complex features into manageable tasks and guide squad members.

Requirements
  • In-depth knowledge of institutional transaction banking products.
  • Proficiency in understanding and working with structured and unstructured data.
  • Implementation experience with SaaS products delivery.
  • Demonstrated experience in Agile practices, including backlog management and prioritisation.
  • Demonstrated experience in end-to-end technology delivery, covering design, build, test, and implementation.
