Trade Career Opportunities

This is a newly created position that offers the opportunity to become trade qualified. You will work closely with our production and manufacturing team to ensure the safe operation of forklifts, assembly and production work, as well as spray painting and sand blasting tasks.

The ideal candidate will be self-motivated, mechanically minded and have experience working in a manufacturing or industrial environment. Alternatively, a keen and enthusiastic person looking to start their trade career is encouraged to apply.

We are seeking a skilled trades assistant to join our team. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for manual handling, general workshop duties, and ensuring a safe working environment.

  • Safe operations of a forklift
  • Undertake or learn all aspects of assembly and production work
  • Undertake or learn spray painting and sand blasting
  • Manual handling and general workshop duties
  • Safe use of power, hand tools and equipment
  • Assist with labelling and packing as required

You will be responsible for:

  • Lifting up to 20kgs
  • Working in a fast-paced manufacturing environment
  • Maintaining a high level of productivity and quality

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Proven experience as a Trades Assistant in an industrial or manufacturing environment
  • Or be a self-motivated individual who enjoys working with their hands and looking to start their Trade Career
  • Hold a current forklift ticket or have the ability to obtain one
  • Willingness to learn and undertake on the job training
  • Hands-on and complete tasks necessary to meet deadlines
  • Proven interpersonal and multitasking skills
  • Strong literacy and numeracy skills
  • The ability to multitask, problem solve and organise activities with excellent time management
  • High attention to detail
  • Ability to take and follow direction and instructions
  • Responsible and take accountability for your role and duties
