About the Job

We are seeking a highly skilled Program Officer Biodiverse Carbon to support the delivery of our ecosystem restoration programs. The successful candidate will work closely with our team to design and implement effective land management strategies, monitor and evaluate program outcomes, and collaborate with stakeholders to achieve our environmental goals.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support the development and implementation of ecosystem restoration programs, including revegetation and vegetation management services.
  • Manage opportunities and risks associated with ecosystem restoration, including weed and pest management, fire and drought mitigation.
  • Implement effective monitoring and evaluation frameworks to track social, environmental, and financial outcomes.
  • Collaborate with SA Water teams, including Reservoir Rangers, to guide land management and support restoration goals.
  • Contribute to project planning, scheduling, procurement, and reporting.
Requirements
  • Proven experience in natural resources, environmental science, ecology, or ecosystem restoration.
  • Practical knowledge of ecosystem restoration and revegetation techniques, including plant identification and biodiversity management.
  • Proficiency in spatial analysis software, such as ArcPro, for data monitoring and management.
  • Strong project management skills with a track record of delivering excellent outcomes in cross-functional teams.
  • Ability to operate equipment used in revegetation programs.
  • Understanding of carbon principles and accounting frameworks.
