About the opportunity:
You will join our Hawk team within the Aerospace organisation based in Williamtown, NSW, reporting to the Team Lead.
Our work provides support to the Royal Australian Air Force (RAAF) across the entire life cycle of the air sector – from design, development and production, through to the provision of aircraft, training, support and maintenance.
Maintain emergency escape systems, egress systems and aircraft weapon systems from computers on board to stores carried by the aircraft, load and handle various aircraft and stores.
You will be responsible for carrying out scheduled servicing and other unscheduled maintenance under the guidance of the Team Leader.
Evaluate maintenance and technical documentation to ensure compliance and authorisation for use.
Record details of work performed correctly and promptly, and if required, gain certification of performance within the required timeframes.
Ensure all relevant documentation is incorporated as directed, including engineering advice, defect reporting, maintenance deficiencies and publication amendments.
Report defects, deficiencies, maintenance errors and unserviceability's to the Team Leader as they arise.
Carry out maintenance only to the delegated and authorised level.
Initiate quality, non-conformance or defect reporting relating to maintenance tasks as directed.
