About Correctional Educators:
Are you a dedicated professional seeking to make a positive impact in the lives of offenders and victims of crime? Do you have a passion for education and training?
We are currently seeking a highly skilled and experienced Correctional Educator to join our team. As a key member of our education program, you will be responsible for providing high-quality learning services to students undertaking accredited training and instructional programs.
**Job Description:**
The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering and assessing VTEC-SA registered, education programs of study or training. You will also provide training and assessment for prisoners in line with the priorities of the Department for Correctional Services (DCS) and determine and implement flexible delivery methodologies within the prescribed limits of the training program.
**Required Skills and Qualifications:**
To be successful in this role, you will need to possess the necessary training and assessment competencies as determined by the National Skills Standards Council. This includes holding a Certificate IV in Workplace Training and Assessment or higher. You will also need to have relevant vocational certificate/competencies at least to the level of certificate being delivered or assessed.
