About the Role

We are seeking a seasoned ecological professional to join our multidisciplinary team. As a senior ecologist, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality services and advice to clients across various sectors.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Providing expert technical support in office-based and fieldwork settings;
  • Participating in environmental surveys and data collection programs;
  • Interpreting and applying environmental legislation to projects;
  • Developing detailed reports on survey outcomes and their implications for environmental impact assessment and management;
  • Supporting tender preparation and proposal development;
  • Integrating technical work into comprehensive assessments and project teams;
  • Making independent studies, analyses, interpretations, conclusions, and decisions, with report preparation outlining findings.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you must have:

  • An appropriate tertiary qualification in Science, Environmental Science, Environmental Management, Natural Resources, or a related field;
  • A minimum of 4 years' experience in an ecological role within the environmental consulting sector or an equivalent position in Government, including undertaking ecological surveys and report production;
  • Experience in flora and fauna field surveys and monitoring programs;
  • Strong knowledge of Western Australian flora and fauna;
  • Excellent report writing and computer skills, with demonstrated ability to produce high-quality written materials;
  • Proven ability to work under deadlines and manage multiple tasks effectively;
  • Project management experience in relation to client management and budget control.
