Job Overview

This role involves overseeing the release and incident management process, ensuring seamless delivery of software releases while minimizing disruptions to internal teams and customers.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Collaborate with development teams and product managers to plan and schedule software releases, considering dependencies and potential risks.
  • Coordinate and orchestrate the release process, ensuring all necessary tasks are completed within set timelines.
  • Oversee testing of software releases to guarantee stability and performance.
  • Deploy software releases to various environments (development, staging, production) efficiently and securely.
  • Communicate release plans, schedules, and potential impacts to relevant stakeholders, both internally and externally.
  • Monitor the performance and stability of released software, making adjustments as needed.
  • Maintain comprehensive documentation for all releases.
  • Analyze opportunities for improving the release process, implementing best practices and automating tasks to enhance efficiency and reduce risks.
  • Evaluate and prioritize incoming incidents based on severity, impact, and urgency, addressing critical issues promptly.
  • Lead the incident response process, coordinating necessary teams and resources to investigate, diagnose, and resolve incidents effectively.
  • Facilitate root cause analysis to identify underlying causes of incidents and implement preventive measures to mitigate future occurrences.
  • Document all incidents thoroughly, including details of the issue, resolution steps, and lessons learned.
  • Conduct post-incident reviews to analyze the incident response process, identify areas for improvement, and implement corrective actions.
