Wildlife Conservationist

We are seeking a dedicated and passionate professional to join our team as an Animal Care Specialist. This role offers the opportunity to make a real difference in the lives of animals and the community.

Key Responsibilities:

• Promote responsible pet ownership and animal welfare through education and enforcement activities.
• Conduct investigations into breaches of legislation, issue fines and warnings, and prepare reports for legal proceedings.
• Handle and capture a variety of domestic animals, including dogs, cats, and livestock.
• Provide excellent customer service and community education on animal management and welfare standards.
• Work collaboratively with the community to protect the environment and public health from feral, nuisance, or wandering animals.

Requirements:

• Demonstrated best practice animal handling skills and/or ability to learn and apply.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Able to work independently and as part of a team.
• Commitment to delivering high-quality customer service and community engagement.
• Relevant qualifications and/or experience in animal management, animal welfare, veterinary medicine, law enforcement, or community education.
