We're seeking an enthusiastic individual to join our team as a full-time trainee. Your primary responsibility will be installing communication cables from the street to customer homes.

This role is crucial in supporting our team to deliver exceptional solutions to clients, ensuring efficient completion of onsite jobs.

Responsibilities include:

Key Tasks:

  • Set up service for customers, installing, connecting, testing, or adjusting equipment
  • Travel to customers' premises to install, maintain, or repair equipment
  • Splice cables using hand tools, epoxy, or mechanical equipment
  • Access specific areas using ladders and entering crawl spaces
  • String cables between structures and lines from poles, towers, or trenches, and pull lines to proper tension
  • Lay underground cable directly in trenches, or string it through conduits running through trenches
  • Pull cable through ducts by hand

You'll be required to manage tasks under pressure, including speaking with clients, completing job site paperwork, and attending health and safety orientation for new sites.

The ideal candidate should possess excellent written and verbal English skills, experience with hand and power tools, a Construction Industry OHS Card, confidence working at heights, a valid Driver Licence, a National Police Check, and currently undertaking or willing to complete Certificate III as a Telecommunications Linesman.
