Kitchen Hand/Cook Opportunity
We are currently seeking a motivated individual to join our Environmental Services team as a Kitchen Hand / Cook at our Hervey Bay facility. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working in a team environment and takes pride in maintaining high standards of cleanliness and food preparation.
About the Role
This is a casual opportunity with a roster of 40-70 hours per fortnight. Your daily responsibilities will focus on providing nutritious meals and maintaining a clean, welcoming environment for residents. You will work closely with the hospitality team to ensure high standards of service.
Key Responsibilities:
• Food Preparation & Service – Assist in cooking meals, setting up dining areas, and serving residents.
• Kitchen Hygiene – Keep the kitchen clean and organized, following food safety standards.
• Laundry & Cleaning – Maintain the cleanliness of resident areas, laundry facilities, and communal spaces.
Requirements
To be suitable for this position, you will ideally possess:
• Experience in food preparation or kitchen work (aged care experience beneficial).
• Basic food safety knowledge and ability to follow hygiene standards.
• Strong teamwork skills and a commitment to excellent customer service.
• Ability to work independently and take initiative when needed.
