Typical Projects

  • How can a financial institution increase market share in consumer credit cards?
  • Should a credit card issuer use emerging technology to acquire the best customers?
  • How does a financial institution grow their credit card portfolio while mitigating credit risk?
  • How can a financial institution optimize their product offering?

Your Responsibilities

  • You will support the preparation of client proposals and project plans, identifying dependencies, roles, and responsibilities, scope, and deliverables.
  • You will prepare project materials, including interview guides, data requirements, concepts, frameworks.
  • You will collect and analyze inputs such as client information, data, processes, policies, competitive, and environmental information.
  • You will conduct industry research, drawing on resources as well as colleagues to identify global best practices and distil insights relevant to the client problem at hand.
  • You will create, develop, and maintain models, contribute to IP creation and standardized VCA offerings.
  • You will continuously build knowledge, surface new insights, and contribute to thought leadership pieces.
  • You will identify solutions and recommendations that address client objectives and result in performance improvement.
  • You will create compelling presentations to illustrate findings, ideas, recommendations within consulting engagements and more broadly.

Qualifications

  • You have experience in professional services management consulting (e.g., Big 4) or an internal strategy function.
  • You have experience in financial services (banking, payments, investments).
  • You have evidence of superior analytical and problem-solving skills, with demonstrated intellectual and analytical rigor.
  • You have strong undergraduate academic accomplishment.
  • You possess analytical and research skills, including desktop research and stakeholder interviews to synthesize materials on a variety of topics.
  • You have strong detail orientation, ensuring the highest level of quality/rigor in reports and data analysis.
  • You have technical skills, including facility with the MS Office suite of products (primarily Excel, Word, and PowerPoint).

A Plus if You Have

  • Program/Project management skills, including the ability to contribute to multiple projects running in parallel.
  • A passion for the power of analytics to inform and drive strategy and tactics, and proven ability to generate insights from data.
  • Financial modeling experience, including scenario analysis, business case development, market sizing etc.
  • Interest in developing presentation skills, building on strong oral and written capabilities.
