About the Opportunity

This exciting role is for an inaugural Registrar to a newly formed gastroenterology unit at Werribee Hospital, comprising of 9 gastroenterologists.

The position will be:

  • Fixed-Term Full-time for 1 year at Werribee Hospital in the Gastroenterology Department.
  • Primary focus: Care of gastroenterology inpatients (usually 4-5 at any one time) in a multidisciplinary sense, taking referrals from and providing consultation during hours for gastroenterology/liver problems to other hospital units and ED and attendance at outpatients in General Gastroenterology (with the possibility of SVH run subspecialty IBD and liver clinics).
  • Opportunities for training in endoscopy.

  • A compassionate, flexible and positive approach to effective patient care and management.
