As a highly skilled Registered Nurse-Midwife, you will have the rewarding opportunity to deliver high-quality patient care and support the growth and development of colleagues and nursing students in our hospital setting.
Key Responsibilities- Provide exceptional patient care by applying advanced nursing and midwifery clinical skills and contemporary knowledge to support optimal care outcomes through effective coordination, collaboration, and communication within the scope of professional competence.
- Establish meaningful partnerships with patients and their support network to ensure individual needs are met with empathy and understanding.
- Conduct comprehensive clinical assessments and craft personalized care plans to achieve optimal outcomes for each patient.
- Develop and implement comprehensive discharge planning to ensure patients and their support persons, where applicable and appropriate, are provided with adequate support through education, resources, and community services access.
- Offer guidance and mentorship to colleagues and nursing students, drawing upon your wealth of experience and knowledge to foster growth and excellence within the team.
- Hold current registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency, demonstrating commitment to excellence in nursing practice.
- Possess dual qualifications in general nursing and midwifery, showcasing commitment to ongoing learning and professional development.
- Bring relevant working experience in patient-centred care environments/specialities commensurate with level of seniority required to meet workforce needs.
- Have currency of life support skills applicable to patient-centred care environments/specialties.
- Provide comprehensive care and support to women during antenatal and postnatal periods.
- Demonstrate experience in birth suites and special care nursery, caring for neonates from 32 weeks' gestation and above.
- Demonstrate commitment to continued quality improvement and best practice principles.
