About the Role:

We are seeking a seasoned Construction Leader to oversee data centre projects and ensure timely delivery within budget.

The ideal candidate will manage both project delivery and governance, leading a team of construction professionals while collaborating closely with stakeholders to achieve successful outcomes.

Key Responsibilities Include:

  • ">
  • Oversee technical information flow between engineering disciplines and stakeholders in construction projects, ensuring compliance with specifications and standards">
  • Manage construction contracts, including due diligence and compliance for third-party agreements">
  • Report on project progress, forecasting, budget control, procurement, and schedule updates to senior management">
  • Ensure end-to-end oversight of assigned construction projects, focusing on value management, safety, structural adequacy, and verification of contracted works">
  • Identify opportunities to optimise delivery, timelines, or innovation and collaborate with consultants as needed">
  • Conduct meetings and maintain regular communication with key stakeholders, including construction teams and suppliers">
  • Build strong partnerships with suppliers and vendors while enhancing the function's capability within the organisation">
  • Contribute to team growth, providing leadership, mentoring junior staff, and fostering a positive culture">
  • Represent the organisation at stakeholder meetings, ensuring effective engagement and communication">

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • ">
  • Proven experience as a Construction Project Manager, ideally with data centre or critical infrastructure projects of similar scale">
  • Strong track record of successful project delivery with excellent attention to detail and ability to identify issues or mitigate risks early">
  • Solid understanding of mechanical and electrical components in base builds, along with knowledge of building methods, materials, and safety regulations">
  • Proficient in interpreting drawings and architectural plans, familiar with building standards and quality control systems">
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with ability to engage effectively with stakeholders">
  • Strong safety focus with commitment to implementation and compliance">
  • Australian Citizenship and ability to obtain and maintain AGSVA Security Clearance at Negative Vetting 1 level">
