Job Title: Senior Mechanical Engineer for Water Storage Dams

We are seeking a technical leader to expand our specialist team of dams mechanical engineers. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in the mechanical engineering aspects of water storage dams and provide technical leadership in the design of gates, regulating structures, outlet works, valves, fish screens and other mechanical aspects of water storage dam infrastructure.



Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide technical leadership in the design of gates, regulating structures, outlet works, valves, fish screens and other mechanical aspects of water storage dam infrastructure
  • Lead and oversee delivery of quality technical solutions and successful project outcomes that satisfy our clients' needs
  • Mentor and work closely with the rest of the team to develop sustainable capability in our Australia based team and globally
  • Active participation in client relationship management, business development and the development of proposals and technical reports


Qualifications:
  • Qualifications in Mechanical Engineering
  • Experience at all project phases including project identification, feasibility studies, conceptual design, reference design, and detailed design
  • A minimum of 15 years' experience in a consulting environment, specifically in the design and specification of gates, hoists, outlet works, trash racks and screens, fishways, pipe work, valves and other mechanical equipment associated with dams
