About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Registered Nurse to join our team at the Lyndoch Medical Hub in Warrnambool. This is a part-time position, requiring 48 hours of work per fortnight. As a Registered Nurse at Lyndoch Medical Hub, you will be responsible for delivering safe and competent clinical nursing care to patients in Primary Healthcare while adhering to the standards set by the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA).

Responsibilities

  • Chronic Disease Management: Develop and implement care plans for patients with chronic conditions, ensuring their health needs are met and monitored regularly.
  • Clinical Procedures: Assist with medical and minor surgical procedures, perform triage, wound care, immunisations, ECGs, spirometry, and pathology collection as required.
  • Patient Education: Educate and support patients to improve their health outcomes, empowering them to make informed decisions about their care.
  • Documentation and Compliance: Maintain accurate and up-to-date clinical documentation, ensuring compliance with healthcare standards and regulations.

Requirements

  • Education and Qualifications: Hold a minimum Diploma of Nursing or equivalent qualification, and be currently registered with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA).
  • Clinical Skills and Experience: Possess strong clinical skills and experience in patient-centred care, with a focus on quality and safety.
  • Teamwork and Communication: Demonstrate excellent communication and teamwork abilities, working effectively with multidisciplinary teams to achieve patient outcomes.
  • Professional Development: Commit to ongoing professional development, staying up-to-date with best practices and industry developments.
  • Security Clearance: Hold a current National Police Certificate or be able to obtain one.
