Dynamic PE Teacher Wanted

We are seeking a highly skilled and enthusiastic Physical Education teacher to join our school community. The ideal candidate will be responsible for delivering engaging and inclusive lessons that cater to the diverse needs of students from Kindergarten through Year 6.

The successful applicant will be expected to support the implementation of the PE curriculum, manage school sports events and teams, and foster a culture of health, fitness, and teamwork within the school. This role plays a vital part in promoting physical well-being and sportsmanship, aligning with our mission to develop well-rounded students.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Curriculum Delivery: Plan, deliver, and assess high-quality PE lessons in line with the New South Wales PE syllabus for K-6.
  • Student Engagement: Create a supportive, inclusive, and active learning environment that encourages participation and personal growth.
  • Physical Education Instruction: Teach fundamental movement skills, sport-specific skills, and fitness concepts tailored to different year levels.
  • Classroom Management: Implement effective classroom management strategies that support a safe and positive learning environment.
  • Assessment and Reporting: Conduct ongoing assessment and provide constructive feedback to students; prepare term reports and communicate effectively with parents.
  • Extracurricular Support: Participate in and contribute to school sporting events, extracurricular sports programs, and whole-school activities.
  • Professional Development: Engage in ongoing professional development to stay current with best practices in PE and contribute to staff professional learning.
Ideal Candidate Profile:

The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in teaching PE and leading sports programs, ideally in a primary school setting. They should possess strong organisational skills, excellent communication and interpersonal skills, demonstrated leadership abilities, and in-depth knowledge of safety regulations and risk management in school sports.

A Bachelor's degree in PE, Physical Education, Sports Science, or equivalent, along with relevant teaching qualification and current First Aid and CPR certification, are essential requirements for this role.
