The Whitsunday region is seeking a seasoned financial professional to provide expert guidance and advice on all matters related to accounting standards and legislation.

About the Role:

• Represent the organization in dealings with insurance underwriters, brokers, legal representatives, and claimants.
• Prepare and coordinate annual insurance renewal proposals for all classes of insurances held by the organization.
• Monitor and advise on fringe benefits tax liability and strategic opportunities.
• Support the oversight of functions performed by financial services officers, providing training and development.
• Maintain the investment register and assess opportunities to maximize returns on investment.
• Assist in maintaining banking signatories registers for all organizational banking institutions.
• Manage day-to-day banking transfers, BPays, liaise with banks, and resolve issues related to payroll, accounts payable, and direct debits.
