Senior Category Manager Job Description

We're seeking a dynamic leader to lead strategic construction procurement activities across diverse portfolios of large-scale real estate projects.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Develop and execute construction category sourcing strategies across different supply chain tiers and geographies
  • Increase competitiveness and maintain continuity of supply while mitigating risks
  • Foster deep understanding of construction categories and regions to add value to the overall procurement process
  • Negotiate cost optimization through standardization, value engineering, and supply chain improvements
  • Build effective internal and external relationships to enable collaborative working and a positive environment
A Day in the Life:
  • Lead procurement processes including prequalification, onboarding, tender management, evaluations, contract negotiations, and award recommendations
  • Drive procurement of innovative, sustainable, and cost-effective construction services
  • Interface between project delivery and internal and external teams
About the Role:

You'll join a growing team where your strategic thinking, commercial acumen, and leadership skills will be paramount. We encourage autonomy and creative problem-solving, partnering closely with Design and Construction teams.

Requirements:
  • 10+ years experience in procurement, contract, or commercial management within construction
  • Experience developing strategies for procurement of various construction supply chain tiers
  • Understanding of construction industry contracts and procurement processes
  • Negotiation skills for large-scale construction contracts
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
