">Susanne Nelson and Associates (SNAA) is a respected provider of Occupational Therapy services for children aged 0-16. Our team of experienced therapists delivers therapy in a variety of settings, including clients' homes, kindergartens, and schools.

Our team works collaboratively with families, allied health professionals, and other stakeholders to provide comprehensive support and services.
">Role Description
">The Allied Health Assistant will work closely with our Occupational Therapists to deliver high-quality support to our clients. This role involves conducting tasks and activities outlined in individualised Occupational Therapy home programs, responding promptly to client needs, and maintaining strong relationships with families and affiliated professionals.
">The successful candidate will possess excellent communication skills, be able to work autonomously, and demonstrate initiative, problem-solving, and flexibility. If you are passionate about supporting neurodiverse children and their families, we encourage you to apply.
">Responsibilities
">The Allied Health Assistant will be responsible for:
">- FOLLOWING AND CONDUCTING NECESSARY TASKS AND ACTIVITIES AS OUTLINED WITHIN THE CLIENT'S INDIVIDUALISED OCCUPATIONAL THERAPY HOME PROGRAM;
- IMMEDIATELY AND PROFESSIONALLY RESPONDING TO CLIENT NEEDS OR CONCERNS AND COMMUNICATING THIS TO YOUR SUPERVISOR;
- MAINTAINING/ PROMOTING STRONG WORKING RELATIONSHIPS WITH THE CLIENT'S FAMILY, YOUR OT SUPERVISOR, AND SNAA MANAGEMENT;
- LIAISING AND WORKING COLLABORATIVELY WITH THE CLIENT'S FAMILY, YOUR SUPERVISOR, AND DIRECTOR REGARDING THE CLIENT'S OCCUPATIONAL THERAPY PROGRAM OR ANY ADDITIONAL CONCERNS/OBSERVATIONS NEEDING SUPPORT;
- ATTENDING SUPERVISION MEETINGS ON A WEEKLY BASIS;
- COMPLETING FILE NOTES FOR EACH HOME VISIT USING COMPANY TEMPLATES;
- COMPLETING A TIME SHEET AT THE END OF EACH WORKING WEEK;
- ENSURING STAFF QUALIFICATIONS ARE UP TO DATE AT ALL TIMES AND KEPT ON FILE;
Requirements
">To be considered for this role, you will need to have completed studies in Occupational Therapy or a related field. Experience in developmental paediatrics, particularly Autism Spectrum Disorders, is desirable. You must also possess computer literacy and experience with office programs, particularly Excel and Word.
">A current Australian National Police Check and Working with Children's Check are mandatory requirements. As this role involves working in clients' homes, you must be punctual and reliable.
