We are seeking a highly skilled Principal Structural Engineer to join our team at Shorterm Group. As a key member of our Building Structures business, you will be responsible for delivering structural engineering design on large energy transmission and distribution projects.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead and manage the technical design delivery of projects, ensuring efficient and compliant delivery of structural engineering design.
  • Manage and support the day-to-day activities of technical structural engineering staff, working under the direction of the Lead Project Engineer and Project Manager.
  • Develop and maintain knowledge of REVIT Structure and company structural software packages to coordinate and integrate structural design into REVIT Structures models.
  • Conceive and develop approximate scheme solutions to assess the viability of alternative materials and forms of construction.
Requirements:
  • Chartered Engineer status or Incorporated Engineer status with a recognized Institution, or Eng Tech qualified with a recognized Institution.
  • Experience in large energy transmission and distribution projects, or large energy projects and heavy industrial projects.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to write reports, summaries, and presentations.
