**Job Summary**

Abano Healthcare is seeking a highly skilled Financial Accountant to join our team. As a key member of our finance department, you will be responsible for preparing, verifying, and posting month-end accrual, reallocation & prepayment journals/adjustments.

**Key Responsibilities**

  • Prepare, verify, and post month-end accrual, reallocation & prepayment journals/adjustments
  • Monthly reconciliation and analysis of the company's balance sheet accounts as part of the month-end financial reporting function
  • Maintain and review Fixed Asset Register and CAPEX
  • Intercompany reconciliations
  • Bank Reconciliations
  • Assist with external audits
  • Preparation and lodgment of monthly BAS
  • Reading & interpreting complex contracts
  • Ability to read, interpret & apply accounting standards

**Requirements**

  • Relevant bachelor's degree in accounting
  • CA/CPA qualified or studying
  • 3+ years' experience in a Financial Accounting role preferably within Chartered or large corporates
  • Excellent attention to detail, time management, and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • High degree of computer literacy including knowledge of Excel, and other accounting software packages - D365 experience is a plus
  • FBT experience is a plus
  • SQL experience is a plus
