Position Purpose:
We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated professional to support our mission of providing exceptional education services.
As a Specialized Education Professional, you will play a vital role in assisting leaders, teachers, and education assistants in schools to effectively support students with disability and diverse learning needs.
Key Responsibilities:
- Promote Diocesan Values: You will be responsible for promoting the Diocese of Armidale Core Catholic Principles and Values in all professional accountabilities.
- Consultation and Advice: Consult with teachers and provide advice on relevant teaching and learning strategies to enhance student outcomes.
- Individual and Group Intervention: Advise on individual and group intervention and assist teachers with adjustments to meet the diverse needs of students.
- Collaboration and Teamwork: Collaborate with learning support personnel in response to student needs and work constructively as part of the Mission and Learning Team.
- Professional Development: Provide professional development for teachers and paraprofessionals to ensure they have the necessary skills to support students with diverse learning needs.
- Compliance and Reporting: Support compliance requirements of the student support program and prepare reports on the progress of students with diverse learning needs.
- Case Management: Provide case management support and assistance to other agencies and stakeholders as required.
- Continuous Improvement: Engage in action research to support organizational directions and improve services to students.
- Analysis and Planning: Support schools in analyzing system and school data related to diverse learning needs and develop plans to address areas of need.
