Job Title: Teacher - General EducationWe are seeking an experienced and passionate Teacher - General Education to join our team at Melbourne Polytechnic. As a key member of our faculty, you will play a critical role in delivering our Foundation Skills education program to learners with disabilities.
Role OverviewThe successful candidate will be responsible for planning, developing, and delivering educational programs that cater to the unique needs of our learners. You will work closely with our industry partners to ensure that our curriculum remains relevant and effective in preparing students for further education, training, or employment.
Key Responsibilities:- Teaching: Develop and maintain student learning programs, projects, and associated materials.
- Assessment: Conduct pre-training assessment reviews and assessment requirements connected to contract delivery for the program/s.
- Industry Engagement: Participate in marketing and promotion of the courses by liaising with industry contacts, networks, and learning communities.
- Quality and Compliance: Assist in the development and maintenance of quality assurance processes in relation to program and course administration, design, delivery, assessment, and evaluation of training materials.
- Vocational and Industry Currency: Identify, create, and participate in professional development relevant to teaching and the maintenance of vocational currency.
- TAE40110 Certificate IV in Training and Assessment (or its successor), or a diploma or higher-level qualification in adult education.
- Relevant qualification in Education with a literacy, maths focus. Special education specialization is highly desirable but not essential.
- Current Working with Children's Check and National Police Check required.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, including the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
