Ecology Leadership Role

We're seeking an experienced professional to lead our ecological team, overseeing complex projects and collaborating with industry leaders.

This role offers a unique opportunity to balance team leadership with project delivery (approx. 60%).

As a recognised technical expert in ecology, you'll provide high-quality advice across all stages of infrastructure and natural resource projects; from early constraints and biodiversity surveys to impact assessments, offsets, and management plans.

You'll also support and mentor your team, encouraging innovative thinking to drive strong conservation outcomes.

In return, you'll be part of a large national network of ecologists and specialists, working on diverse projects across renewables, infrastructure, mining, and conservation.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Biodiversity impact assessment, environmental offsets, and mine rehabilitation.
  • Leadership experience, strong communication skills, and a collaborative mindset.
  • Developing re-vegetation and vegetation management plans.
  • Field verification and GIS mapping of vegetation communities / regional ecosystems.

We're looking for a candidate with 7+ years of consulting experience in ecology, strong technical skills, and a passion for conservation.
