Job Summary
The Director of Teaching and Learning for Kaplan Pathways College will lead the academic operations of the college, ensuring high-quality educational outcomes for international students progressing to the University of Adelaide.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and motivate the teaching team to achieve performance objectives, including student retention, engagement, lecturer engagement, and student progression and success.
- Build a healthy and resilient workplace culture, prioritizing staff wellbeing and academic integrity.
- Closely monitor student academic performance, intervening with support measures as needed.
- Develop and implement academic staff recruitment strategies, ensuring compliance with college and university policies.
- Contribute to timetabling and study plan management, ensuring alignment with college and university policies.
- Oversee academic quality and compliance with relevant standards, including the Higher Education, Foundation, and ELICOS Standards.
Requirements
- 2-3 years' experience in a similar role, with extensive academic management exposure in the international student environment.
- Experience in people and operational leadership.
- Master's degree or higher in a relevant discipline.
- Experience in building relationships with partner universities.
- Hands-on management style.
- PhD qualified (desirable).
