Job Opportunity:

We are seeking a dedicated Registered Nurse to join our multidisciplinary team. The successful candidate will have specialist qualifications in mental health and be committed to delivering high-quality care to consumers across the lifespan.

Job Description

This is an exciting opportunity for a Registered Nurse to work in a variety of settings, including inpatient and residential services, hospital in the home, community, forensic and correctional health. The role involves providing individualized care to consumers with complex mental health needs, working collaboratively with other healthcare professionals to develop and implement treatment plans, and participating in ongoing professional development to enhance skills and knowledge.

The Head of the State Service has determined that the person nominated for this position must satisfy a pre-employment check before taking up the appointment, promotion, or transfer. The following checks are to be conducted:

  1. Conviction check in the following areas:
    1. Crimes of violence
    2. Sex-related offences
    3. Serious drug offences
    4. Crimes involving dishonesty
  2. Identification check
  3. Disciplinary action in previous employment check

Please note: For some roles, you may be required to hold a current Tasmanian Working with Children Registration.

Requirements

To be considered for this role, applicants must have a Registered Nurse qualification and experience in mental health nursing. They must also possess strong communication and interpersonal skills, be able to work effectively in a team environment, and demonstrate a commitment to delivering high-quality care to consumers.
