Staff Specialist Anaesthetist Opportunity

The Staff Specialist Anaesthetist plays a crucial role in providing exceptional anaesthetic services to patients within a multi-disciplinary team of medical officers and nursing staff. This position offers an opportunity to combine lifestyle with working in a large tertiary hospital, offering a range of Acute Services including Emergency, Maternity, Intensive Care, General Medicine and Surgery, Medical Imaging, Pathology, Dialysis, Mental Health (Inpatient and community services) and Ambulatory Services.

The Staff Specialist Anaesthetist provides specialist-level anaesthetic services, fosters relationships with colleagues and other hospital specialists, provides clinical leadership, supervision and teaching of junior medical staff, participates actively in audits, clinical meetings and safety activities.

This is a Tertiary Teaching Hospital affiliated with Universities for the provision of undergraduate and postgraduate Medical, Nursing and Allied Health education. To be successful in this role, applicants should have Fellowship (FANZCA) or be eligible in the next 6 months, Substantially Comparable ANZCA requiring peer review / International doctors looking to be assessed.
