Marine Operations Compliance Officer

Key Responsibilities
The Marine Training and Compliance Manager will play a pivotal role in ensuring the Kangaroo Island Ferry Service maintains operational excellence and compliance with AMSA and AMFA regulations.
This multi-functional role will require the successful candidate to prioritize time between facilitating and coordinating training needs and ensuring terminal infrastructure and service equipment for the marine operation are managed accordingly.
The ideal candidate will possess extensive knowledge of marine legislation and advanced knowledge of marine compliance, with a MED2 certificate of competency being desirable.
Requirements
- Proven leadership and project management skills
- Marine compliance knowledge would be advantageous
- Problem-solving and using initiative
- Planning and organization skills for skills development
- Learning and development experience - competency assessments
- Exceptional time management and ability to prioritize and work under pressure
- Intermediate computer literacy and Microsoft Office skills
Qualifications & Experience
- Certificate IV in Leadership – Beneficial
- Certificate IV in Training & Assessment – Essential (or commit to completing)
- First Aid Certificate - Beneficial
- Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft (Word & Excel required)

A confident and experienced leader with at least 2 years' experience, you will need to build relationships with the team to implement and drive change.
